Who we are

Liquid Language is a movement studio operated by Amanda Kaye in Nevada City, California. This page explains what information we collect, how classes and recordings work, and the terms you agree to when you book a session, class, course, or performance through liquidlanguagedance.com.

Information we collect

When you book, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number if offered, and the information you enter in booking or performance request forms. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We use your information to run your bookings, send class emails and replays, and respond to your requests. We do not sell your personal information.

Class recordings and your image

Online group classes and private sessions held over Zoom may be recorded. Recordings are used to provide replays to students and may be used in part for instructional or promotional material for Liquid Language, including on our website and social media.

By joining a class, you consent to being included in these recordings. Cameras are always optional: if you prefer not to appear, simply keep your camera off during class and you will not be visible in any recording. If you appear in a recording and would like removal from promotional use, contact us and we will accommodate where reasonably possible.

Assumption of risk and release

Dance and movement involve physical activity that carries an inherent risk of injury. By participating in any Liquid Language class, session, course, or event, whether online or in person, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

You agree that Liquid Language and Amanda Kaye are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation, to the fullest extent permitted by law. You are responsible for ensuring your own fitness to participate, for your practice space and equipment during online classes, and for consulting a physician before beginning any new physical activity, especially if you are pregnant, injured, or managing a medical condition. Participants under 18 require the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

Payments, cancellations, and refunds

Bookings are paid online at the time of purchase. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may be refunded or transferred to another date. No refunds are issued within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, and missed classes are not refunded. If Liquid Language cancels or reschedules a class, you will be offered a transfer or a full refund.

Performance bookings are governed by the terms of their individual quote and agreement.

Email and communication

We use your email to send booking confirmations, class links, replays, and occasional updates about classes and events. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time by replying or using the unsubscribe link where provided.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses essential cookies needed for booking and payment to function, and basic analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

This policy may be updated from time to time; the version posted here is the current one. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of California.
